B.Sc. Forensic Science is a 3-year graduate course. The program offers the study of scientific applications and knowledge that helps in the investigation of crimes. Forensic science is used every around the world to protect public health, enforce criminal laws and regulations, and resolve civil disputes.
This course covers a wide range of subjects and how to carefully analyze and study different objects at crime scenes as they are the most important proofs. Analysis at the crime scenes could be of anything from bloodstains, soil, bones, fingerprints, recovering data from mobiles, laptops, computers, DNA profiling, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility for pursuing this course is that the students have completed their 10+2 with adequate marks from a recognized board. The candidate must have studied Mathematics and Physics as the main subjects in class 12th along with one of the optional subjects as Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying examination.
The admissions are either based on merit or through entrance examinations. The entrance-based admission to the course is done on the basis of scores obtained by the candidate in a national level, state level, or college level entrance exams. The admission is done through the counseling process.
